Bowed Fences is a specialized effects instrument for Kontakt that captures the tonal possibilities of a cello bow applied to barbed wire and metal fence structures. Recorded in rural Texas and extensively processed, the library delivers authentic industrial textures suitable for horror and science fiction scoring work.

The plugin organizes its content into three functional categories. The Drones patch provides sub-bass-range material with extended sustain characteristics, ideal for tension beds. The Whines patch emphasizes higher frequencies with scream-like qualities that cut through dense mixes. The Hits patch contains percussive attacks derived from bowed metal poles and wire, each offering four round-robin variations to prevent repetitive triggering artifacts. Complementing these are fourteen looped pad patches derived from heavily processed source material, all featuring envelope-mapped low-pass filtering assigned to the mod wheel for real-time timbre manipulation. An additional five impact patches handle accent work and trailer-specific accents.

The interface provides straightforward sonic shaping through parametric EQ controls for low, mid, and high frequencies, pitch adjustment, reverb selection across thirteen impulse responses, and a distortion circuit labeled Grit. These controls prove effective for sculpting raw fence recordings toward specific dramatic contexts without requiring external processing chains.
