About this plugin
Real Drums Acoustic Kicks 2 represents Loopmasters' refined approach to drum synthesis and processing, delivering a focused toolkit for producers seeking authentic acoustic kick character with contemporary production flexibility. The plugin combines multiband compression, resonance modeling, and transient shaping to extract or reconstruct kick drum tonality from raw or existing sources.
The core architecture emphasizes the natural decay characteristics of acoustic kick drums rather than electronic manipulation. Three independent processing channels allow parallel processing of attack, body, and sustain frequencies, enabling surgical control over the percussion's temporal and tonal envelope. The resonance engine models the physical behavior of kicked drums, particularly effective for extending or tightening the low-frequency bloom that defines acoustic kick presence.

Real Drums Acoustic Kicks 2 excels in genres where acoustic percussion sits prominently in the mix - hip-hop, soul, indie rock, and live-recorded pop productions. Engineers accustomed to working with both sampled and recorded drums will appreciate the plugin's transparent character and its ability to impart cohesion across disparate source material. The preset library provides reliable starting points, though experienced users will find genuine power in the detailed parameter set.
Compared to general-purpose drum processors, this tool sacrifices versatility for specialization. It remains deliberately acoustic-focused, avoiding the sound-design capabilities of broader saturation or distortion alternatives. For engineers prioritizing authentic kick drum enhancement within defined sonic territory, Real Drums Acoustic Kicks 2 delivers consistent, musical results without introducing unwanted coloration.
