About this plugin
Bassmaster's Dirty Analogue expansion delivers a focused collection of overdriven bass textures derived from hardware synthesis and analog desk saturation. The pack contains 78 waveforms organized across four categories (complex, high, low, and mid-range), compiled into 105 distinct presets that prioritize driven character over pristine clarity.
The sonic approach centers on capturing the harmonic complexity that emerges when vintage synthesizer outputs are pushed through saturation and distortion stages. Rather than applying digital processing, Loopmasters recorded their source material through hardware pedals and analog mixing consoles, then captured the resulting character as discrete waveforms. This methodology yields the textural density and organic compression characteristic of genuinely driven analog gear, though the results are database-dependent rather than dynamically generated.

Dirty Analogue suits producers working in electronic music genres where aggressive bass textures function as primary compositional elements. Drum and bass, techno, and industrial producers will find the harsh presets category most immediately useful, while the smoother and modulated options provide subtle grit for house and ambient contexts. The percussive presets category distinguishes this pack from standard bass libraries, offering transient-rich material for rhythmic bass design.
The expansion's primary strength lies in its tonal consistency. All waveforms share a cohesive sonic signature rooted in genuine analog saturation, making them intuitive to layer and process together. However, producers seeking pristine bass fundamentals or clean sub-bass reproduction should look elsewhere. This pack succeeds specifically when distorted character is the intended sonic goal rather than an undesirable artifact.
