About this plugin
Loopmasters' Original Jungle Breaks 2 is a sophisticated effects processor designed to inject authentic drum and break textures into contemporary productions. Rather than functioning as a conventional effects plugin, it operates as a curated library of processed break samples and rhythmic elements extracted from classic jungle and drum and bass source material, processed through both analog and digital degradation techniques to capture the sonic character of 1990s hardware chains.
The plugin's core strength lies in its approach to break manipulation. Users can layer, time-stretch, and modulate individual break components - kicks, snares, and hi-hats - with granular control over saturation, filtering, and bit-depth reduction. This allows precise integration into modern productions without sacrificing the raw, compressed character that defined the genre. The engine handles polyrhythmic layering effectively, addressing a persistent challenge when integrating period-accurate breaks into contemporary tempos and arrangements.

Original Jungle Breaks 2 serves producers working across drum and bass, dubstep, grime, and experimental hip-hop. It's particularly valuable for those seeking authentic textural authenticity rather than mere sonic nostalgia. The processing algorithms reflect genuine understanding of how vintage breaks were historically manipulated - through tape saturation, multi-band compression, and strategic filtering rather than superficial digital emulation.
Compared to generic drum libraries or basic time-stretching tools, this plugin maintains break integrity while remaining malleable. It stands as a legitimate production tool rather than a novelty, suitable for both sample-based arrangement and live performance scenarios where dynamic break manipulation is essential.
