About this plugin
Future Drum & Bass stands as a refined toolkit for producers working within the accelerated tempos and complex rhythmic structures that define contemporary drum and bass production. The plugin delivers a curated selection of time-stretched and granular-processed drum hits, percussion elements, and atmospheric textures optimized for the 170-180 BPM range, though its source material remains flexible across related tempos through intelligent resampling.
The sonic character leans toward digital clarity rather than analog warmth, emphasizing crisp transients and defined low-end separation - essential qualities for navigating the crowded frequency landscape typical of drum and bass masters. The included effects processing chain allows for real-time modulation of decay characteristics and spectral content, giving producers direct control over how individual elements integrate within dense arrangements.

Where this library distinguishes itself is in its understanding of modern production workflows. Rather than presenting raw loops, Loopmasters has designed the collection around chopped, layerable components that encourage creative manipulation rather than direct adoption. The granular processing tools embedded within facilitate everything from subtle textural enhancement to radical sonic transformation.
For drum and bass specialists seeking production-ready percussion elements with technical sophistication, this plugin occupies solid middle ground - more comprehensive than basic sample libraries yet more focused than all-purpose drum machines. It compares favorably to Spectrasonics Omnisphere for targeted drum and bass application, though with narrower scope and consequently more immediate practical utility within the genre. Experienced producers will appreciate its refusal to oversimplify the technical demands of contemporary liquid and neurofunk production.
