About this plugin
Auditorium - Contemporary Classical from Loopmasters is a convolution-based reverb plugin engineered specifically for the acoustic spaces favored by modern composition and orchestral recording. Rather than relying on algorithmic modeling, the processor operates from impulse responses captured in purpose-selected concert halls and chamber spaces, delivering the spatial characteristics of rooms designed for instrumental clarity without sacrificing depth.
The plugin's signature character emerges from its restraint. Unlike general-purpose reverbs that prioritize lush ambience, Auditorium prioritizes the articulation of transients and the natural decay patterns that preserve harmonic definition across frequency ranges. This approach proves particularly effective for string sections, woodwinds, and solo instruments where spatial placement matters as much as sustain. The early reflections are configured to support rather than obscure source material, making it suitable for both close-miked and already-processed signals.

Technically, the implementation includes straightforward controls for wet/dry balance, decay time, and pre-delay, complemented by parametric EQ for tonal shaping. The convolution engine runs efficiently without the CPU penalties associated with some competing products, though users should expect the standard latency inherent to sample-based processing.
Auditorium occupies a specific niche between Altiverb's comprehensiveness and stock DAW reverbs. It works best in hybrid orchestral contexts, post-production for acoustic instruments, and mixing scenarios where the reverb itself shouldn't become a focal point. For producers requiring transparent spatial augmentation without character coloration, this remains a legitimate alternative to more expensive dedicated solutions.
