About this plugin
Atmospheric Vinyl Breaks 2 stands as a comprehensive drum break library compiled by Juno Award-winning producer Dubmatix, offering hip-hop and electronic music producers a curated collection of sampled percussion arranged for immediate compositional use. The pack contains 40 construction kits spanning 72-150 BPM, each organized with discrete drum and percussion components that can be layered or deployed individually depending on production requirements.
The sonic character emphasizes vintage aesthetics, with the library providing both clean and vinyl-degraded versions of loops. This dual approach accommodates producers seeking either transparent rhythmic foundations or those pursuing lo-fi and retro aesthetics. The included 375 individual drum and percussion hits - encompassing kicks, snares, hi-hats, toms, cymbals, and various world percussion elements - facilitate custom break construction beyond the pre-assembled kits.

Technical specifications list 3.66 GB of 24-bit 44.1 kHz WAV files, providing sufficient fidelity for professional mastering chain integration. The temporal range and rhythmic diversity enable applications across hip-hop, trap, trip-hop, breakbeat, and downtempo production without requiring significant pitch or time-stretch manipulation.
This resource serves experienced producers seeking pre-recorded acoustic drums with genuine vintage character rather than synthesized or heavily processed alternatives. While not a generative tool or effects processor, Atmospheric Vinyl Breaks 2 functions effectively as a reference library and compositional starting point for rhythm-centric production workflows. Its second iteration builds on established demand for authentic, sample-based percussion collections in an era where digital drum synthesis often lacks comparable textural complexity.
