About this plugin
SynthMaster 3 represents a substantial evolution from its predecessor, introducing a modular architecture that fundamentally expands creative possibilities for sound design. The upgrade path offers existing SynthMaster One users access to a significantly more capable platform without repurchasing from scratch.
The new modular design allows up to 16 layers per instance, each containing up to 16 interconnected modules. This architecture proves particularly valuable for complex, evolving textures where multiple synthesis methods need to interact. The module library is comprehensive, spanning seven generator types - including wavetable, granular, additive, and vector oscillation - alongside ten filter options ranging from classic ladder designs to specialty processors like the Bite and Formant filters. The modulation layer supports 32 sources per layer, including traditional ADSR and multistage envelopes, multiple LFO types, and step sequencers.

What distinguishes SynthMaster 3 is its synthesis philosophy rather than any single innovation. By combining VAnalog, phase modulation, frequency modulation, ring modulation, and physical modeling alongside sample playback, the platform caters to sound designers who refuse categorization. The visual routing system makes signal flow transparent, reducing the tedious menu diving common in less intuitive designs.
The preset library of 850 patches, crafted by respected sound designers including Arksun and Davide Puxeddu, suggests production-ready sounds rather than feature demonstrations. For producers seeking deep modulation possibilities and tonal variety within a single instrument, SynthMaster 3 justifies the upgrade investment through its architectural flexibility and established sonic range. The backward compatibility with previous preset formats softens the transition.
