Complexx is a dynamics processor that draws inspiration from a landmark British compressor of the late 1960s, translating its three-circuit FET gain reduction architecture into modern plugin form. The design captures the harmonic coloration and musical compression character that defined an era of mixing console development, while adding features impossible in hardware.

The plugin's strength lies in its versatility across different mixing scenarios. On mix bus applications, the soft-knee compression excels at binding tracks while preserving transient definition. A parallel compression blend control allows precise adjustment of processing intensity without losing the original signal's punch. For drum processing, the attack and release parameters provide genuine control over punch and sustain, making it equally suited to aggressive room mic compression or surgical drum bus refinement.
