About this plugin
The Fame & Fury MIDI-groove expansion for Hertz Drums delivers precisely articulated metalcore and djent drumming patterns designed for producers working in heavy progressive genres. Developed by The Dark Atom, this pack supplies over 100 MIDI grooves that capture the technical precision and dynamic intensity characteristic of modern metal production without requiring session drummer availability or extensive drum programming expertise.
The pack's strength lies in its articulation specificity. Separate MIDI tracks isolate left and right hand movements across toms and dual bass drum configurations, mirroring the playing techniques essential to djent and metalcore styles. Seven distinct snare articulations - ranging from tight crosses to ghost notes - provide the textural variation necessary for authentic-sounding patterns. This granular approach allows experienced producers to customize and layer grooves beyond preset delivery.

Coverage spans tempo and dynamic range effectively, from crushing introductory sections through fast-paced fills and powerful outros. The sequencing reflects genuine drumming logic rather than mechanically quantized patterns, making integration into production straightforward without extensive humanization processing.
The pack targets producers working within progressive metal, mathcore, and djent contexts who value time efficiency without sacrificing authenticity. It's particularly valuable for songwriters seeking reference grooves that capture the vocabulary of bands like Periphery, Vildhjarta, and August Burns Red. Rather than replacing skilled session drummers, Fame & Fury functions as a capable compositional tool and production reference during arrangement phases. Requires Hertz Drums as a host platform.
