About this plugin
Scoring Guitars 2 is a guitar-based virtual instrument that captures the studio recordings of Heavyocity's carefully curated collection of electric guitars routed through premium American and British amplifiers. The 5.33 GB library documents these guitars across a range of tonal territories, from clean and chimey textures to heavily saturated overdrive, with particular emphasis on cinematic applications and atmospheric utility.
The instrument's architecture centers on multi-sampled guitar performances rather than synthesis, drawing from semi-hollow body instruments, classic offset designs like a modified Strat, and traditional models such as a 335. These recordings were captured through high-end outboard gear and studio microphones, then processed through extensive effects chains including rhythmic pedals and textural processing that pushes the source material toward saturation and hybrid textures. The result occupies the space between traditional guitar layering and sound design.

Scoring Guitars 2 functions as both a scoring tool and effects processor, offering prepared cinematic phrases, atmospheric pads, ambient drones, and driving pulse-based material. The interface provides sample playback with standard articulation and modulation controls. New key sets in D and G expand harmonic flexibility compared to the original release.
The plugin best serves composers working in film, television, and game audio who need guitar-derived textures with considerable processing already embedded. Rather than offering pristine, unprocessed guitar samples, Scoring Guitars 2 delivers deliberately shaped and treated content. It serves a narrower use case than traditional guitar sample libraries, positioning itself as a specialized sound design instrument for those seeking pre-engineered, cinematic guitar-based atmospherics with character and personality already established.
