About this plugin
Heavyocity's Natural Forces represents a distinctive approach to atmospheric sound design by grounding its synthesis engine in field recordings and resonant object captures. The plugin processes organic source material - from Pacific Ocean recordings to tropical rainfall - through the GRAVITY engine, yielding evolving pads, harmonic stings, and textural beds suited to cinematic work. Rather than relying on traditional synthesis alone, Natural Forces layers these naturalistic foundations with carefully processed resonances from everyday objects, creating a sonic palette that feels grounded yet experimental.
The 430-plus sound sources and 530 preset configurations provide substantial depth without overwhelming navigation. The motion presets ( NKAs ) enable time-based evolution, a critical feature for film and television composition where static textures rarely serve functional needs. The 40 complex pads form the core offering, though the sting and resonant frequency collections warrant equal attention for their distinctive character - particularly useful when standard pad libraries feel generic or emotionally inert.

Natural Forces occupies a specific niche: composers seeking atmospheric textures with provenance and character will find it more compelling than generic pad banks, though it lacks the granular control of deeper sound design platforms. The plugin excels at providing immediate sonic inspiration rather than serving as a comprehensive synthesis workstation. Its strength lies in the quality of source material and Heavyocity's processing decisions, which lend authenticity to designs that might otherwise feel artificially constructed.
Best suited for composers prioritizing distinctive character over ultimate flexibility, Natural Forces delivers professional results with minimal tweaking required.
