About this plugin
The eXplorer 11 upgrade represents a significant expansion of Rob Papen's comprehensive virtual instrument and effects ecosystem, consolidating a 36-plugin collection that balances creative synthesis tools with practical sound design utilities. This update maintains compatibility with existing eXplorer 10 installations while introducing refined versions of core instruments and new processing modules designed for contemporary production workflows.
At its technical core, eXplorer 11 functions as a plugin suite that emphasizes deep parameter control alongside streamlined interface design. The inclusion of Prisma - Rob Papen's multi-layer hosting engine - enables producers to combine up to four instruments simultaneously, a feature particularly valuable for complex sound design requiring layered synthesis approaches. This architecture appeals to professionals working across EDM, electronic music production, and sound design for multimedia applications.

The upgraded RAW-Kick 2 synthesizer demonstrates the collection's production focus, offering three-layer kick drum synthesis with both traditional oscillator-based models and sample-based granular engines. The addition of multi-stage pitch and volume envelopes provides precise control over transient definition and frequency behavior, addressing the specific demands of contemporary electronic music production.
eXplorer 11 positions itself among professional-grade plugin collections by maintaining both accessibility through streamlined main interfaces and depth through comprehensive advanced editing panels. The collection's strength lies not in standalone innovation but in carefully curated tool selection that covers synthesis, filtering, and sound manipulation - making it particularly suited to producers who prefer a cohesive ecosystem over assembling disparate third-party plugins. The upgrade justifies consideration primarily for existing eXplorer 10 users seeking expanded capabilities and refined versions of established instruments.
