About this plugin
eXplorer 11 represents a substantial evolution in Rob Papen's comprehensive plugin ecosystem. As an upgrade path for existing eXplorer 1 - 5 owners, it consolidates and expands the developer's synth and effects offerings into a unified collection of 36 instruments and processors, with the option to integrate 11 legacy products for backward compatibility. The bundle's centerpiece is Prisma, a powerful meta-plugin that layers up to four Rob Papen instruments simultaneously, fundamentally expanding creative possibilities for sound design and arrangement.
The package includes significant tool improvements across its lineup. RAW-Kick 2 stands out as a specialized kick synthesizer developed with input from Dutch hardcore and hardstyle producers, though its architecture proves equally effective for contemporary electronic music across EDM, hip-hop, R&B, house, and drum and bass. The plugin features a three-layer mixing system with both synthesized and sample-based kick models, granular processing capabilities, and multi-stage envelope control for pitch and volume manipulation. Its ribbon controller enables real-time sound shaping with tempo-synced spring-back characteristics.

Complementing this are FilterField and other processing tools designed for precise sonic manipulation. This upgrade targets producers and sound designers who have invested in Rob Papen's ecosystem and require deeper integration between instruments and effects. The collection's maturity and breadth make it particularly valuable for professionals working across multiple genres who benefit from having cohesive, architecturally compatible tools. The upgrade pricing strategy rewards loyal users while maintaining access to legacy functionality, making eXplorer 11 a pragmatic choice for established workflow integration rather than a starting point for newcomers.
