About this plugin
Bloom Vocal Choir Upgrade expands Excite Audio's vocal sampling instrument significantly for Lite owners, adding over 150 presets and 50 new choir samples sourced from an extended range of vocal registers. The core engine remains unchanged - a sequencer-based approach to layering and modulating sampled vocals - but the upgrade introduces meaningful production tools that weren't available in the entry-level version.
The enhanced sampler editing suite gives you granular control over pitch, timing, and timbre of individual samples. A randomization function streamlines preset exploration when you need quick sonic variations. The Banks View implements drag-and-drop preset management, reducing workflow friction during sessions. Perhaps most useful is the ability to import custom samples, allowing integration of your own vocal sources or external recordings alongside Excite's library.

The sequencer remains the instrument's defining feature - it lets you program polyphonic vocal arrangements intuitively, with modulation lanes for effect automation. The rearrangeable effects chain provides standard processing tools in flexible configurations. Samples lock automatically to project tempo and key, eliminating tuning headaches that plague less sophisticated vocal tools.
This upgrade targets producers working in cinematic, ambient, and experimental domains where layered vocal textures matter. The 250 total presets - crafted by professional designers - cover atmospheric pads through rhythmic vocal sequences. While competitors like Native Instruments Choir and iZotope VocalSynth offer different sonic approaches, Bloom's sequencer-centric workflow and sampling flexibility distinguish it for users needing custom vocal manipulation without deep music theory knowledge. The upgrade justifies its cost if you exhaust Lite's capabilities or need extensive customization options.
