About this plugin
Excite Audio's Bloom Synth Atmosphere upgrade expands the Lite version's foundational ambient synthesis engine with a substantial library addition: over 150 new presets and 50 synth samples that deepen the instrument's sonic palette. The core architecture remains centered on phrase-based composition, combining sampled pads, arpeggios, and textural elements into cohesive soundscapes rather than traditional subtractive synthesis.
The upgrade introduces meaningful workflow improvements. The Banks View system enables rapid preset auditioning and swapping across eight phrase banks without stopping playback. A sample randomizer function facilitates discovery within the expanded library, useful for breaking through creative stagnation. The Sampler Editor provides granular control over pitch, playback speed, and articulation, while support for importing custom samples transforms the instrument from preset-dependent tool into a personalized sound design platform.

A sequencer module handles both sample triggering and effect modulation, offering an alternative to conventional step programming. The rearrangeable effects chain allows flexible signal routing through multiple processors, addressing the common limitation of fixed effect ordering in template-based instruments.
Sonically, Bloom Synth Atmosphere targets the ambient and generative music space occupied by artists like Eno and Boards of Canada. The preset library leans toward immersive, evolving textures rather than punchy or rhythmically aggressive material. This upgrade suits producers seeking deeper atmospheric capabilities without committing to the full version, though experienced sound designers will particularly value the sampler editing and import functionality, which transforms the instrument's creative scope significantly.
