About this plugin
Bloom Palette Object represents Excite Audio's most ambitious instrument to date, expanding the original Bloom framework into a dedicated sound design and sequencing platform. Rather than serving as a traditional effects processor, this is a performance instrument that layers organic one-shots and loops captured from household objects, machinery, and world percussion alongside tuned acoustic instruments like the Taishogoto and vibraphone. The resulting sonic palette occupies territory between experimental IDM production and textural ambient music, with clear lineage to artists like Four Tet and Burial.
The centerpiece is Excite Audio's proprietary sequencer, which distinguishes itself by handling both one-shots and loops simultaneously. This dual capability allows producers to construct intricate polyrhythmic arrangements and complete drum patterns without resorting to multiple instances or external sequencing. The three onboard effects and four assignable macros provide substantial real-time modulation potential, though the strength here lies in the source material itself rather than processing depth.

This crossgrade edition targets existing Full Bloom owners seeking expanded sonic territory without repurchasing the core engine. The ability to import custom samples elevates its utility beyond the factory library, making it genuinely extensible for working producers. Best suited for electronic music producers valuing organic texture over pristine synthesis, and for sound designers needing rapid access to professionally captured foley and percussion, Bloom Palette Object occupies a practical middle ground between sample playback and instrument design. It excels at establishing sonic character quickly, particularly for experimental genres where distinctive tonal color matters more than traditional melodic or harmonic sophistication.
