About this plugin
Bloom Bass Groove Crossgrade represents a focused entry point into Excite Audio's modular bass toolkit for existing Full Bloom product owners. Rather than positioning itself as a comprehensive bass solution, this crossgrade delivers a purposefully curated instrument built around sampled electric bass performances captured across multiple playing techniques: slap, fingerstyle, picked, and muted articulations. The sampling methodology emphasizes authenticity, with source material recorded from professional players using quality instrument and microphone combinations, then processed through amp simulations and dynamic shaping tools that reflect real amplification characteristics.
The core interface relies on Excite Audio's Phrase Player system, which allows producers to sequence different riffs and articulations in real-time while maintaining harmonic and temporal lock with the host session. This design philosophy acknowledges a practical workflow need: the ability to audition multiple interpretations of a bassline without leaving the plugin window. The sound design toolkit includes three effect processors and four macro controls, providing reasonable editing depth without overwhelming users seeking straightforward groove integration.

With 250 factory presets developed by professional sound designers, Bloom Bass Groove targets producers working across funk, R+B, and hip-hop production contexts where articulate, characterful bass performance matters more than sonic experimentation. The recent addition of sample import extends its utility for those seeking personalization without complete redesign. As a crossgrade offering, it represents a logical expansion for users already invested in Full Bloom's ecosystem, though its appeal remains limited to genre-specific production needs rather than universal bass synthesis applications.
