About this plugin
EastWest's Hollywood Bundle represents a comprehensive orchestral toolkit built on the company's OPUS engine, consolidating four distinct virtual instruments into a single acquisition. At its core is Hollywood Orchestra Opus Edition, a 944GB sample library that has established itself as the de facto standard for professional orchestral scoring across film, television, and interactive media. The collection encompasses over 130GB of newly recorded material alongside reimagined legacy content, capturing orchestral sections and solo instruments with the depth and flexibility required for nuanced soundtrack work.
The bundle extends into specialized territory with Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra, which pairs conventional orchestral groupings with curated world instruments and period instruments that address the aesthetic demands of fantasy and historical scoring. This expansion proves particularly valuable when moving beyond symphonic conventions without abandoning orchestral coherence.

Technically, the OPUS engine drives the experience, providing sophisticated playback features, mood-based interface systems, and integrated tools like Hollywood Orchestrator - a composition assistant designed to accelerate sketch-to-arrangement workflows. Sonically, the libraries bear the signature of producer Doug Rogers, Nick Phoenix, and mixing engineer Shawn Murphy, resulting in recordings that translate reliably to theatrical contexts and maintain clarity across various delivery formats.
The bundle is best suited for composers and arrangers working on commercial projects where orchestral authenticity and rapid iteration both matter. While the interface and sample organization lean toward accessibility, the underlying content serves experienced users seeking professional-grade orchestration tools without the impedance of multiple separate licenses.
