About this plugin
CYBORG is a Kontakt 5.5+ instrument that positions itself at the intersection of organic instrumentation and processed synthesis, a distinction that matters for contemporary scoring work. The library contains 8.4GB of uncompressed audio across six primary categories: drones and atmospheres, drums and percussion, guitars and basses, keyboards, cinematic effects, and multi-layered hybrid instruments. The 291 total patches ( 147 instrument patches and 144 multi-patches ) provide a coherent sound world rather than a collection of isolated samples.
The sonic approach favors intentional imperfection. Human performances sit alongside heavily processed and synthesized material, creating tension between organic and artificial sources. This hybrid character makes CYBORG particularly effective for dramatic underscore where vulnerability and menace need to coexist. The instrument excels in suspenseful sequences, sci-fi contexts, and action scoring where textural complexity outweighs traditional melodic concerns.

The interface delivers practical sound design control through built-in effects including distortion, EQ, delay, convolution reverb, lo-fi processing, a limiter, and filter. These tools allow meaningful real-time manipulation without requiring external processing, though the architecture suggests CYBORG is designed to work as a self-contained toolkit rather than a blank canvas demanding extensive external treatment.
CYBORG occupies a specific niche between general-purpose orchestral libraries and ultra-specialized sound design instruments. It works best for composers working in television, film trailers, and interactive media who require atmospheric complexity and industrial character without designing sounds from scratch. The library's deliberate aesthetic makes it less suitable for traditional orchestral work but highly relevant for contemporary dramatic projects demanding sonic personality.
