About this plugin
Current represents a comprehensive synthesis and sound design environment built for producers who need both immediate usability and deep creative control. The bundle combines the flagship Current synthesizer with five curated preset expansions, addressing production workflows across electronic music, cinematic design, and contemporary composition.
At its core, Current operates across five synthesis engines: wavetable, granular, sampling, and complementary processing modes that handle everything from precise frequency modulation to textural, time-stretched manipulation. The wavetable engine provides the tonal foundation with familiar subtractive workflows, while granular processing excels at time-stretching, stuttering effects, and atmospheric deconstruction. Integration of sampling capabilities means you can process your own audio sources without external instruments.

The preset expansions demonstrate thoughtful curation rather than bloat. Fusion Keys targets contemporary classical and ambient territories; Bass Terminal delivers genre-specific low-end appropriate for club and bass music contexts; Lofi Leads captures tape-era character; Sub Station handles 808s and sub synthesis comprehensively; Botanic Pads combines synthetic textures with foley elements for hybrid sound design. Each pack contains production-ready sounds, but more importantly, reveals the sound design methodology behind Current's architecture.
Cloud connectivity enables access to additional community-generated presets and samples, effectively extending the instrument's palette indefinitely. Premium built-in effects, modulation routing, and MIDI processing eliminate the need for extensive plugin chains on individual tracks.
Current Essential Bundle suits producers seeking a primary synthesis platform rather than a specialized tool. Its breadth makes it particularly valuable for those working across multiple genres or combining synthetic and processed acoustic sources.
