About this plugin
PSP nitroModular Collection represents a thoughtful translation of PSP's N2O multieffect engine into the modular domain, delivering twelve purpose-built modules for Voltage Modular that prioritize CV control and sonic flexibility. Rather than simple ports, each module has been reconceived for modular workflows, with expanded parameter ranges and deeper integration into Eurorack-style patching paradigms.
The collection spans essential effect categories with particular strengths in spectral processing. The nitroFormant and nitroSVF modules provide surgical filtering capabilities, while the nitroPhaser extends into territory rarely seen in modular format - a 32-stage phaser with genuine depth. The nitroBQF and nitroComb filters offer parallel processing paths, useful for creating complex resonant textures. Less common additions like the FreqShifter and nitroLFO with waveform morphing round out the toolkit for sound designers seeking alternatives to standard algorithms.

The nitroLoFi bitcrusher and nitroNoise generator handle degradation and synthesis tasks with professional precision. The dual envelope followers and advanced ADSR enveloper provide solid modulation sources, though they don't substantially differentiate themselves from competitors in this regard.
PSP nitroModular Collection best serves producers working in dense, algorithmic sound design spaces - glitch, industrial, IDM, and experimental electroacoustic contexts. The emphasis on CV modulation depth and less conventional effects positions it alongside Valhalla DSP and Reaktor for designers prioritizing sonic deviation and complex modulation chains. While not essential for straightforward mixing tasks, it excels as a creative tool for those who've already internalized their DAW's standard effects and seek expansion into more idiosyncratic territory.
