About this plugin
bx_rooMS stands apart in the reverb plugin landscape through its implementation of TrueSpace technology, which generates a continuous spectrum of room algorithms rather than relying on the fixed, categorical presets common to most reverb processors. This approach yields more naturalistic transitions between space types and eliminates the artificial quality that often accompanies switching between discrete room, hall, or plate emulations.
The plugin's most distinctive feature is its mid-side processing architecture. Beyond standard reverb parameters, bx_rooMS offers dedicated M/S filtering and center-image controls that allow engineers to manipulate the stereo field with surgical precision. The Stereo Width parameter proves particularly useful, expanding the reverb's spatial character without the phase artifacts that simple panning introduces. This capability makes bx_rooMS equally valuable on individual tracks and mix busses, where its relatively light CPU footprint supports multiple instances.

Sonically, the reverb algorithms deliver convincing acoustic simulations across rooms, halls, churches, and mechanical plates. The modulation controls add movement and character without veering into artificial territory. With nearly 200 presets developed by experienced mix engineers, there's substantial starting material, though the interface encourages meaningful customization rather than factory-patch reliance.
bx_rooMS appeals primarily to mix engineers and producers seeking spatial processing with explicit stereo field control. Its M/S capabilities and CPU efficiency make it particularly suited to mixing workflows where spatial precision and multiple reverb instances are priorities. Among high-end reverb plugins, it occupies a specific niche where advanced stereo manipulation matters as much as algorithmic quality.
