About this plugin
Blue Cat's Crafters Pack stands as a comprehensive modular platform designed for audio professionals and developers seeking to build custom processing chains without constraints. At its core lies Plug'n Script, a scripting environment enabling users to author proprietary effects and instruments, alongside PatchWork, a modular routing system that functions both as a plugin and standalone application. This combination addresses a genuine gap in production workflows where off-the-shelf solutions prove insufficient.
The MB-7 Mixer represents the pack's most sonically relevant component, functioning as a multiband processor that divides incoming signals into discrete frequency ranges, each receiving independent mixing and processing. This approach proves invaluable for surgical mixing tasks and frequency-specific remediation without the phase artifacts inherent in traditional crossovers. The FreqAnalyst Multi analysis tool provides real-time spectral visualization across multiple tracks simultaneously, supporting both comparative analysis and difference-mode operation for precise EQ matching.

Remote Control rounds out the package by enabling custom MIDI controller creation, streamlining integration within complex studio setups. The analytical suite empowers users to verify their processing chains' actual impact rather than relying on assumption.
The Crafters Pack targets experienced engineers and music programmers prioritizing workflow customization over immediate convenience. Its value proposition increases substantially for those developing proprietary tools or managing frequency-intensive mixing scenarios. Compared to modular platforms like Max/MSP or Pure Data, Blue Cat's offering provides a more accessible entry point while sacrificing neither flexibility nor audio quality. This remains specialized software designed for professionals demanding precise control over their signal architecture.
