About this plugin
Black Salt Audio has distilled essential mixing dynamics into a cohesive bundle that prioritizes workflow efficiency without sacrificing sonic control. The collection pairs BSAClipper with Low Control, two complementary tools that address the most common dynamic processing challenges encountered in modern mix sessions.
BSAClipper strips away the unnecessary complexity that plagues most clipper implementations, offering just input and threshold controls. This restraint proves valuable precisely because it forces you toward intentional clipping decisions rather than menu diving. The visual feedback of the clipped meter encourages critical listening and prevents the over-processed artifacts that plague less transparent clippers. It works equally well for catching peaks on individual tracks or catching mix bus transients when subtlety is required.

Low Control approaches bass management from a different angle, separating compression and harmonic enhancement into distinct signal paths. The compression side operates independently below a user-defined frequency, preventing the bloat that occurs when standard compressors grab your entire low end. The enhancement circuit adds controlled harmonics at selectable frequencies, solving the age-old problem of bass that translates poorly to nearfield monitoring or small speakers without adding unnecessary weight to the mix.
Together, these plugins form a practical answer to dynamics processing that values clarity and speed over feature sprawl. They're particularly suited to engineers who've grown frustrated with overcomplicated interfaces and plugins that require extensive tweaking to achieve transparent results. The bundle's effectiveness comes from understanding precisely what modern mixing actually requires.
