About this plugin
Audiomodern's SYNC expansion extends Loopmix with a focused collection of glitch and IDM-oriented loops designed for producers working in downtempo and experimental electronic music. The pack contains 35 customizable preset kits alongside 220+ individual loops that function within Loopmix's loop remixing engine, allowing granular rearrangement and recombination of source material.
The sonic character leans toward fractured, polyrhythmic textures typical of intelligent dance music, emphasizing irregular beat structures and abstracted rhythmic elements rather than conventional four-on-the-floor frameworks. Sample selection prioritizes percussive and tonal loops with sufficient complexity to reward deep crate-digging through the interface, though the consistent production quality across the set means individual loops remain usable even outside their intended preset combinations.

SYNC performs strongest as a supplementary resource for producers already invested in Loopmix's workflow. The expansion's value proposition depends entirely on comfort with the host platform's loop remixing paradigm. For those accustomed to traditional sample packs or linear arrangement approaches, the learning curve may obscure the inherent flexibility. However, experienced Loopmix users will find the material substantially expands the plugin's downtempo and experimental capabilities.
Relative to competing IDM-focused loop collections, SYNC distinguishes itself primarily through integration with Audiomodern's proprietary remixing engine rather than sonic innovation alone. The preset kits serve as useful starting points, though their primary function is demonstrating the engine's potential rather than providing finished arrangements. This expansion suits producers seeking sophisticated rhythmic source material within an already-established creative system rather than those evaluating Loopmix for the first time.
