About this plugin
Bus FORCE is Arturia's parallel processing plugin designed to address a fundamental challenge in modern mixing: achieving professional-grade dynamics and tonal cohesion across individual tracks, buses, and master channels. The architecture combines four processing modules - filter, EQ, compression, and saturation - with a routing system that allows independent control of dry and wet signal paths, enabling genuine parallel compression rather than conventional serial processing.
The plugin's core strength lies in its approach to parallel dynamics. Rather than simply blending compressed and uncompressed signals, Bus FORCE's modular design permits selective processing of specific frequency ranges or dynamic characteristics while maintaining the transient clarity of the original source. The saturation stage responds independently to processing chains, allowing engineers to add harmonic density without relying solely on compression gain reduction.

Sonically, Bus FORCE occupies space between surgical control and deliberate coloration. The EQ and filter modules provide surgical frequency management, while the saturation circuit introduces harmonic enhancement that ranges from subtle to characteristically aggressive. This positions the plugin as suitable for both transparent bus processing and intentional tonal intervention on individual tracks.
The plugin appeals primarily to mixing engineers seeking professional-grade parallel processing without commitment to outboard hardware investment. It's particularly effective on drums, vocals, and master buses where parallel techniques have proven their value. Compared to alternative parallel processors, Bus FORCE distinguishes itself through flexible routing and module stacking options, though it remains more specialized than general-purpose multiband or dynamic EQ alternatives. For engineers already versed in parallel compression techniques, it represents a legitimate workflow enhancement.
