The COMP-4K-STRIP is Antelope Audio's faithful digital recreation of the channel strip found on the legendary British 4K mixing console, a fixture in studios worldwide since the 1980s. Rather than approximating the sound, Antelope disassembled an original unit and subjected their plugin to rigorous analysis and testing to capture the authentic sonic signature of the hardware.
The plugin comprises four integrated modules: a VCA compressor, expander, high-pass filter, and low-pass filter. What distinguishes the 4K design is the flexibility of signal routing. The Pre Dyn button allows you to insert filtering before dynamic processing, a feature that proves invaluable for taming problematic frequencies before compression takes hold.
