The TY-50 Dynamics plugin operates as a legitimate three-way tool: a compressor with musical character, an expander for gate-like control, and a transient shaper for surgical peak management. This flexibility alone distinguishes it from single-purpose alternatives. The sidechain input with integrated tilt filter enables frequency-conscious dynamics processing without external routing complexity, while the automatic gain compensation removes tedious manual makeup gain adjustment.
