About this plugin
Airspace represents a thoughtfully engineered approach to spatial processing that distinguishes itself through the integration of convolution reverb with complementary delay and modulation tools. The plugin leverages 450+ impulse response samples sourced from acoustically diverse environments - ranging from Grade I listed cathedrals and concert halls to decommissioned nuclear reactors and household appliances - organized into functional categories that facilitate both conventional and experimental sound design work.
The dual convolution engine allows parallel processing of two impulse responses simultaneously, enabling sophisticated layering of reverb characteristics without resorting to serial chains. Each engine supports variable time-stretching from 20 to 500%, early reflection control via pre-delay adjustment, and independent four-band EQ, providing genuine flexibility for spectral shaping. The stereo delay section functions as a capable secondary processor, featuring crossfeed, filtering, and notably, an integrated pitch-shifter that extends beyond simple rhythmic effects into textural territory.

This architecture proves particularly valuable for electronic music producers seeking character-driven spatial effects beyond generic algorithmic reverbs, while remaining accessible to those working in hip-hop, house, and techno where precise control over decay and frequency response matters. Sound designers working on ambient and soundtrack material will find the combination of real-space convolution with modulation-driven evolution substantial enough to justify inclusion in an effects-heavy workflow.
Relative to competitors, Airspace occupies middle ground between specialized convolution tools and comprehensive reverb workstations. It prioritizes sonic variety and creative combination over parameter depth, making it best suited for producers valuing tonal character and workflow efficiency over granular algorithmic control.
